Öz
Bu çalışmanın amacı, 48–72 aylık çocukların etkileşimli akran oyun davranışları üzerinde babaların katılım düzeylerinin ve bazı demografik özelliklerin etkisini incelemektir. Araştırmaya Türkiye’den 328 çocuk ve onların babaları katılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak Baba Katılım Ölçeği ile Penn Etkileşimli Akran Oyunu Ölçeği – Ebeveyn Formu kullanılmıştır. Bulgulara göre, babaların katılım düzeyleri çocuğun cinsiyetine göre farklılık göstermemiştir. Ancak çocukların etkileşimli akran oyun davranışları incelendiğinde, kız çocuklarının oyun etkileşimi boyutunda anlamlı düzeyde daha yüksek puanlara sahip olduğu, erkek çocukların ise oyunun bozulması ve oyundan kopma boyutlarında daha yüksek puanlar aldığı görülmüştür. Baba katılımı keyfi meşguliyet puanları açısından bakıldığında, bir kardeşi olan çocukların, üç veya daha fazla kardeşi olanlara kıyasla babalarıyla daha fazla etkileşim yaşadığı bulunmuştur. Benzer şekilde, iki kardeşi olan çocuklar da üç veya daha fazla kardeşi olanlara göre daha fazla tespit edilmiştir. Bu farklılıklara rağmen, çocukların etkileşimli akran oyun davranışları kardeş sayısına göre anlamlı bir farklılık göstermemiştir. Annenin öğrenim düzeyinin yüksek olması durumunda ise, çocukların babalarının hem keyfi meşguliyetleri hem de temel bakım boyutlarında daha yüksek katılım gösterdiği ve çocukların oyun etkileşimi puanlarının da daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca, babaların öğrenim düzeyinin yüksek olması da keyfi meşguliyet boyutunda daha yüksek baba katılımı ile ilişkilendirilmiştir. Günlük olarak çocuklarıyla daha fazla zaman geçiren babalar, keyfi meşguliyet, temel bakım, ilgi ve yakınlık boyutlarında daha yüksek puanlara sahip olmuştur. Günlük baba-çocuk oyun süresi ile çocukların etkileşimli akran oyun davranışları arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunmamıştır. Baba katılımının boyutları (keyfi meşguliyet, ilgi ve yakınlık, temel bakım) ile oyun etkileşimi boyutu arasında orta düzeyde pozitif bir ilişki bulunmuştur. İlgi ve yakınlık boyutu ile oyundan kopma boyutu arasında ise düşük düzeyde negatif bir ilişki saptanmıştır.
