Abstract
The study has been carried out to determine 3rd grade students’ misconceptions underlying common mistakes about fractions. Using the “Diagnosis Test” method on 3rd grade students (n=113), it aims to determine the misconceptions encountered in their learning of the relationships between the fraction’s model, symbol and their verbal expression. Students’ misconceptions about the fractions have been analyzed and some suggestions based on the findings are given.
