Abstract
Teacher-centered traditional education depends on restrictive control and classroom discipline for developing the knowledge and skill levels of students. Communication classroom management is not efficient for contemporary student-centered education which requires active contribution of students, hands-on activities and students being responsible for their own learning. Effective communication skills, increasing motivation, developing self-efficacy and self-control are some of the basic components of effective classroom management. It is necessary for the teachers who will teach the youngsters of the 21st century to gain skills for excellent classroom management. In this article the importance of classroom management skills for developing the efficiency of instruction and its relation with communication skills will be discussed and some suggestions for educators will be made.
