Abstract
Gelenek ve göreneklerine son derece bağlı yaklaşık 50 milyon nüfusun yaşadığı İngiltere’de merkezi bir eğitim sisteminin varlığından söz edilemez. Genel eğitim politikası devletçe saptanmasına ve mali yönden desteklenmesine rağmen, yerel eğitim idareleri (LEA's) çok önemli görevleri üstlenmişlerdir.
