Abstract
The purpose of the study is to investigate graduates’ perceptions about the impact of online Information Technologies Certificate Program (ITCP) completion on their following job, career development and personal plans. The program includes eight courses and lasts nine months totally. The sample consisted of 70 participants who graduated from the program in 2005 and later. The data was collected through online questionnaire consisting of 19 ten point-likert type scale items and 8 open-ended items. The results of the study indicated that the major impacts of program completion were the increase in graduates’ personal confidence, job autonomy, credibility and respect from coworkers. In their personal plans, they wanted to continue to improve themselves in information technology field and monitor technology developments.
