Abstract
The aim of this study was to find teachers’cognitive fictions of elementary school principals’ managerial qualities. This study was planned as a phenomenologicalresearch. The sample group consisted of 20 teachers having different demographic qualifications in Istanbul/Ataşehir. Data were collected by the technique of ‘repertory grid’ which is a constructed interview method. Findings showed that there were 197 valid fictions expressed by teachers and these consisted of 12 main fiction categories. Dominant fictions of teachers were ordered as communication, social relation and trust.
