Abstract
In this study, the benefits, problems and difficulties of incorporating the collective system into Turkish National Education were investigated. For this purpose, the following issues were included: 1. The general view of Primary school curricula before 1926. 2. The situation of the Collective system in the primary school curricula from 1926,1936,1948 and 1968, and lesson schedules, lesson periods, problems and difficulties with regard to the application o f these curriculas. 3. The problems with its application in the present primary school curricula were also investigated descriptively. The data for this research were collected through original documents and examined chronologically.
