In this study, the effect of a communication skills training program upon communication skill levels of university students was investigated. The research was carried out with a sample population of 32 chosen from students of Kocaeli University, who attended this communication skills training program voluntarily. In the research, pre-test and final-test motives consisting of two groups, one experimental and the other a control group, were used. A “communication skills training program” with 12 sessions was prepared. In the analysis of data obtained by experimental operation, t-test was used. The research pointed out that communication skills levels of students who attended the communication skills training program were higher than those of the others.
