Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of teaching via scripts and script fading method for students with autism to acquire discrimination skill of emotions. This study is carried out with 3 students with autism. An Activity Schedule, consisting of 12 illustrated cards are prepared to explain the attitudes of emotions. Teaching method of scripts and script fading is applied at teaching sessions. The model of multiple probe design between subjects, takes place in research models of single subject design, is used in the study. This study consists of application, probe, teaching, generalization and follow-up phases. At the end of the study, it is found out that teaching via scripts and script fading method is effective on the acquisition of the skills of discriminating emotions for children with autism.
