Abstract
The purpose of this study is to identify the properties of feedback provided by teachers to the draft texts written by students. The data on the properties of feedback were obtained from the analysis of interpretation, and marking done by teachers on draft texts. The study group consists of thirty-two Turkish language teachers, and twenty-nine Turkish literature teachers working in Burdur province. According to the results, most of the teachers provided feedback on mechanical properties while few teachers provided feedback on text type. Most of the feedback provided was for deletion/ addition/ correction purposes and they were problem-oriented. Turkish teachers presented more feedback on the mechanical properties of the text. In spite of this, Turkish Literature teachers presented more feedback on the language used in the text
