Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of extending goals group guidance program for adolescents with respect to positive psychotherapy in a non-clinical sample. The method of this study was the two (experiment and control) groups pretest-post test design.Adolescents’ Life Goals Scale with Respect to Positive Psychotherapy and Life Satisfaction Scale were used in this research study. The sample consisted of 18 (9 for the experimental group and9 for the control group) adolescents who were high school students. The study was conducted at nine sittings and each session took about 45 minutes. Results show that the adolescents who were in the experiment group were differentiated with respect to control group for determining life goals, and also just only their life satisfactions were improving. In the future, this program could be used in school counseling curriculum for determining adolescents’ life goals
