Öz
Bu çalışma, açık uçlu materyallerle oyunun çocukların oyun davranışları ve yürütücü işlev becerileri üzerindeki etkilerini incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Eylem araştırması deseniyle yürütülen çalışma, Ankara’da bir devlet ilkokulunun anasınıfına devam eden 60–77 aylık 24 çocuk ve öğretmen-araştırmacı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Müdahale süreci, üç döngü halinde planlanmış ve her döngüde sınıf ortamında açık uçlu materyallerle oyun kademeli olarak yeniden yapılandırılmıştır. İlk döngüde açık uçlu materyallerin sınıfta erişilebilir biçimde düzenlenmesi ve çocukların materyallerle etkileşimini artırmaya yönelik düzenlemeler yapılmıştır. İkinci döngüde oyun planlama uygulamaları başlatılmıştır. Üçüncü döngüde ise planlama–oyun–değerlendirme süreci güçlendirilmiş ve oyun bağlamları (sınıf/atölye/açık alan) sistematik biçimde dönüşümlü olarak yapılandırılmıştır. Süreç boyunca serbest oyun oturumlarına ilişkin video kayıtları ve alan notları tümevarımsal yaklaşımla analiz edilmiş; bulgular yürütücü işlevle ilişkili oyun davranışlarına odaklanan kontrol listesi ve araştırmacı günlüğüyle desteklenmiştir. Müdahale sonunda çocukların çalışan bellek, bilişsel esneklik, dikkat, engelleyici kontrol ve organizasyon-planlama göstergelerinde gelişmeler gözlenmiş; oyun davranışlarının planlı, sosyal etkileşime dayalı zengin tema ve uzayan sürelerle karakterize edilen olgunlaşmış oyun örüntülerine yöneldiği belirlenmiştir. Bulgular, açık uçlu materyallerle oyunun öğretmen rehberliğiyle yürütücü işlev gelişimini destekleyebileceğini göstermektedir.
