Today, the issue of environmental pollution, which is spreading and threatening life, is now being considered with greater attention. For this reason, the ISO 14000 Standards of Environmental Management System has been created through designing the environment in an international framework together with the concepts of management and standardization. Starting such an understanding with schools will let new generations have a new perspective towards the environment. In this article the following items are dealt with: Total Quality Management (TQM), Total Quality Environmental Management (TQEM), ISO 14000 Standards of Environmental Management System, certification according to these standards, the application of ISO 14000 Environmental Management System and their benefits to schools and the environment.
