Abstract
This study aims to investigate what trainee teachers expect from school administrators during their socialization processes. The present research is important in that it informs school administrators about what they should do for the socialization of trainee teachers. Participants consisted of 41 teachers beginning to work as trainee teachers in Gaziantep in the 2008-2009 academic year. The data were gathered through semi-structured interviews and were analyzed by using a qualitative analysis program (NVivo8). The study revealed that trainee teachers have expectations from school administrators concerning their duties, the state of the school, affective issues, operation of the school, environment, interpersonal relationships and social activities.
